After viewing the video, your Critical Thinking Assignment should cover the following: As like Rome, how could the U.S. be destroyed from within? Use the topics discussed in the video. For example: Moral Decay, Social Decay, Cancel Culture, Economically, Lack of personal Integrity,
Ethics and Ethical Behavior, Corrupt Governance, Moral responsibility, Riots (Policing and the role DHS), Socialism, Use examples and research from Aristotle, Socrates, Virtue Ethics, Formalism, Kantian ethics, Duty, Utilitarianism, John Stuart Mill, selfishness, Kohlberg’s theory, Gilligan’s ethics of caring, Emile Durkheim, Cesare Beccaria, Formalism, Nonfeasance, Misfeasance, Malfeasance, John Rawl’s theory of Justice, Civil Peace and Liberty.
Purpose:
The purpose of this assignment is to assess your ability to evaluate and analyze the concepts of morals, ethics, and justice as how would it apply if you were in DHS or Law enforcement. Please use ethical critical thinking in which you base your conclusions on evidence rather than preconceived ideas.
It should also strengthen your understanding of how best to format a succinct and relevant paper using APA format. (See Resources below.)
Remember, there are key points that must be a part of every title page, abstract page, and reference page. Your title page, abstract page, and reference page DO NOT count towards your page count for the completion of this assignment. Failure to follow APA guidelines will result in a points reduction from your final grade. Be sure to ask questions if you are unsure of anything. I will be happy to help in any way that I can.
Students Position:
Students will need to clearly state their position for each issue chosen while recognizing the limits of their position. Students will need to provide evidence of having considered their position from alternative perspectives. Students should also consider how their position will impact their life.
Conclusions:
Students will need to state their conclusions and implications logically, systematically. Their conclusions will be developed from the synthesis of the information from their previous essays. The students conclusions and implications must be insightful and significant. Students should consider what might be the economic, political, social, or educational implications of their position.
