For this weeks journal entry, youll apply active reading strategies to:

Identify key sections of your research sources that answer your specific research questions

Make a written record of these sections so that you can return to them later to study more deeply and take detailed notes.

Here youll want to start recording where and how youll use your sources in your research report. At this stage, you are creating a paper trail for yourself: when it comes time to read the sources in more depth, youll know which sections and pages to focus on and which parts of the report they will help you write.

Create a word document for your journal entry and use the table below as a model to record the research questions that each source will help you answer and where to find these answers in the source.

Aim to complete a table like this for each of your 4-6 sources.
