Learning Activity: Topic to Text
Pretend you are sitting and studying, and someone approaches you and asks you what the Bible says about one of these topics: ethical social media use, environmental stewardship, gay marriage, abortion, legalization of marijuana, alcohol use, adoption, animal rights, war & terrorism, depression, adultery, overeating, self-discipline, prayer, or missional living. Begin formulating your response to this question by working through the steps you learned in the PowerPoint lecture from this Session. (It should be noted that this topic will be the one you use for the exercises for the remainder of this course.)

This should be a 2-page (double-spaced) paper with 5 sections:

Topic in Contemporary English
Topic Word In Biblical Terminology
List of all Biblical passages (Reference Only i.e. 1 Cor. 10:31) containing the topic word
Relevant Passages
Definitive Text Selection (write out entire passage, highlighting key words, concepts, & phrases)
