Bulimia

1.  Characterized by recurrent episodes of binge-eating coupled with compensatory behaviors that are used to prevent weight gain. 

2. Binging is a rapid consumption of an objectively large amount of food in a short time, accompanied by a feeling of loss of control.

3. The compensatory behaviors are normally induced vomiting, misuse of laxatives, diuretics, enemas, excessive exercise and/or fasting.

4.  Women are diagnosed with this 10 times more often than men.
